Books for Toops will be returning the collection boxes at Red Robin in Latham and Clifton Park, and at the town Halls in Clifton Park and Halfmoon. We ask that you be discriminate about the books you drop off. Please ask yourself, "Would this book be of interest to the troops in a deployed area or injured in a hospital; would they be able to carry it around on patrol; it is in great shape so that it can survive rough conditions and being shared with many; if it is hard-covered does it have a book cover and is it recent? Ledgers, enclycopedias, textbooks, tecnical manuals, tax manuals, etc. have no place in a collection box for troops. Books for Troops only sends the best because the troops deserve only the best. Books from the collection sites are heavy to carry in bulk and have to be sorted in an unheated garage. Please consider all these factors before you donate. For those who have always given us only the best we thank you and the troops thank you. You are the reason we can continue our mission of providing escape and release for thre troops from the horrors of living in an hostile environment. Let's make our 5th year our best year, yet.
For those who live too far to use our collection sites, you may mail the books to be donated to:
Books for Troops 152 Oak Brook Commons Clifton Park, NY 12065. If you are shipping only books, you can use media mail if you use your own box, rather than the PO boxes. It saves money.
Please consider a donation for postage with your donation of books. The books stay in Clifton Park unless there is money to ship them to our troops. No donation is too small. Thank you.
